This image is the result of three separate collections of frames exposed through narrow-band filters. Each filter is designed to only allow certain wavelengths of light to pass. Ionized Hydrogen is represented in Green, while ionized Oxygen and and Sulfur are mapped to Blue and Red, respectively. The gases in space are ionized by radiation emanating from nearby stars, much like the gas in a fluorescent light bulb.

180 minutes of exposure time through Hydrogen-Alpha , OIII filters and S2 filters.

Total exposure time = 9 hours.

Five minute sub-frames.

Camera temperature -15°C
